iPhone 5: To Buy Or Not To Buy

Just over a week into sales, the iPhone 5 is estimated at 8 million sales over the past weekend. The new Smartphone is sold out in Apple stores as well as ATT, Verizon and Sprint stores and has a waiting list of approximately 3 weeks. I have to say, that I am generally hesitant at purchasing the first generation of new iPhones and want to wait for them to iron out all of the kinks. I have already heard that people are unsatisfied with the battery life and with the new Maps already. And apparently Apple has addressed the frustration by saying that the maps will get better with more users. What, 8 million isn't enough? There are many new features on the iPhone 5 that even the 4GS can't touch, including a larger screen, a faster processor, turn by turn navigation and a sleeker design. I am still using the iPhone 4 and have been very satisfied with all of its functions and possible applications. I do try to keep up with apps that are available on these phones. Here are a few lists of available iPhone apps that I have found useful: Top 13 apps to make your life easier - via Mashable http://mashable.com/2012/09/23/iphone-apps-productivity/ Top iPhone apps - via Time http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/0,28757,1823107,00.html 100 Best iPhone apps - via PC Mag http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2391521,00.asp Top 15 Apps of 2012 - via PCWorld http://www.pcworld.com/article/256161/top_15_iphone_apps_of_2012_so_far.html 10 Free iPhone apps you'll use every day - via Mashable http://mashable.com/2012/02/10/free-iphone-apps-every-day/ There is also a software upgrade on my current iPhone which claims to include over 200 new features including maps, Siri features, Facebook integration, Shared Photo Streams, Passbook and more. When I can clear some space and make enough room (2.5GB), I will get around to downloading the new IOS6. In the meantime, I will await the second or third generation to come out on the iPhone 5. Who am I kidding? By then, I will be thinking about the iPhone 6.
